CAUTIONS: Read Carefully!

Failure to follow instructions could result in fire, injury or smoke damage. Wick must be kept centered & trimmed to 1/4” to prevent smoking, soot build up or fire. Burn only on a stable heat resistant surface, no more than 2-3 hours at a time. Keep away from drafts and flammable materials. Do not allow matches or wick trimmings to fall into melt pool. Discontinue use when the metal base of wick is exposed. Do not move while burning or if gel is still hot. Keep your candle in an upright position and carry at the base with both hands. Keep candle in temperatures between 60-85 degrees.

This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for www.empressivecandles.com. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this web site.  It will notify you of the following:

 1.       What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the web site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.

3.   The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information. 

4.    How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you.  We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

 We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us.  We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.

 Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time.  You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

 -  See what data we have about you, if any.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information.  When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way.  You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information.  The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

NEVER MOVE OR PICK UP A BURNING OR HOT CANDLE!!!  

Gel burns hotter than wax and can cause injury if hot gel makes contact with skin. If you ever need to move your candle, it’s best to blow it out and wait for it to cool to solidification. Do not use water to put out your candle. Simply blow it out or use a snuffer to put out the candle.

CAN I CUSTOMIZE ANY TYPE OF GLASS?  

Yes, you may during your ordering process you'll have an option of selecting your glass type. There are times that we may suggest a different type of glass based on your candle design to ensure the best fit.

CAN THE CANDLE REALLY BURN?  

Not only can you burn your candle, but we encourage you to burn it. One of the most amazing aspects of the candle is when is burning. The design underneath illuminates beautifully under the candlelight. Keep in mind, the lighter the gel the brighter the light and the light also takes on the color of the gel in some instances.

HOW FAR DOES IT BURN DOWN?  

Only the top part of your candle will burn and then it puts itself out. The actual design will not be affected.

WHAT'S THE BURN TIME?  

Burn times vary based on each design of the candle due to the type of glass or height of items placed in the glass. We do have standard burn times based on a simple floral design on the story page. If you see a design you like, this information can be found in the details.

ARE THEY SCENTED OR NON-SCENTED?

If you choose to design your candle, you will have the option of non-scented or scented and be provided with a list of scents to choose from.

IS MY CANDLE REFILLABLE?

While technically every candle is refillable, we do not offer refills for the Perfect Starters 1 & 2 and the Beginnings. These glasses are just for you to try out before upgrading.

CAN MY REFILL BE A DIFFERENT COLOR OR SCENT?

Yes, play around until you find your favorite scent(s).

WHAT IF I BREAK THE GLASS, IS IT HARMFUL?

No, not at all. The liquid inside of the glass is not harmful to humans or pets. The worst thing about a break, is the glass itself.

HOW STRONG ARE THE SCENTS?

It really comes down to the scent you select. We use a standard amount of fragrance but some scents are stronger than others. You can add a note to your order if you’d like it lightly scented or you may get your candle unscented.

DO YOU HAVE DESIGN RESTRICTIONS?

We under no circumstances will make or accommodate any hate or discrimination of any kind. That includes in the design as well as personalization. There's no room for that in our organization.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY CANDLE?

The glass to the candle may be wiped down with a clean paper towel and small amount of rubbing alcohol. *Do not let alcohol get on gel.* Keep your wicks trimmed as low as possible and remove any and all debris after each burn. Do not burn your candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time.

DO YOU OFFER A WARRANTY?:

The Vendor warrants that each candle shall be fit for the purpose for which it is ordinarily intended.  The Vendor warrants that each candle will be created in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards reasonably applicable to such services.  If the Customer considers that a breach of this warranty has occurred and notifies the Vendor about the breach, then the Vendor will promptly correct any defects in compliance with this warranty.  Except for these warranties, no other warranty (expressed, implied, or statutory) is made by the Vendor regarding the candle(s).

CAN THEY BE SHIPPED?

Yes, your candles may be shipped. It's important to understand that they can be quite heavy depending on size. When available, we may offer delivery services considerably less expensive than shipping.

APPLICABLE LAW

With respect to any controversies, disputes or claims  arise, the parties irrevocably submit themselves to the jurisdiction of the state or federal courts in Duval County, Jacksonville, Florida and hereby waive all questions of personal jurisdiction for the purpose of carrying out this provision.
